My mission is to focus on what makes Bitcoin unique compared to other cryptocurrencies. While the term "crypto" refers to the cryptography that helps keep the Bitcoin network secure, Bitcoin itself is a carefully crafted mix of technologies designed to make financial systems more trustworthy. A big part of this is explaining that there’s only one true blockchain, and it belongs to the Bitcoin protocol, protected by proof-of-work. We also need to recognize that Bitcoin’s software is the only blockchain system that’s truly unchangeable.
